My grand prize - a trip to Graceland, Memphis Tennessee 2003

Here are photos taken from my trip to Graceland, Memphis Tennessee way back on 13 Sep 2003. The trip along with accomodation was the Grand Prize from the BMG/Lite FM Search For Elvis 2002.

My wife & I had the opportunity to visit Graceland in reality, and to explore Memphis town, commercialized with Elvis-mania.

Guided tour was done via a personal audio player with pre-recorded naration indexed to each exhibition area. Elvis had a huge collection of guns and cars, apart from his concert costumes and gold records in the hall of fame.

Elvis Presley was the first artiste in the world to own a private jet. He named it after his wife, Lisa Marie.

Our journey ended with a week-long stopover at Orlando, Florida, where we conquered Universal Studios themepark and Disneyworld. The entire trip was just wonderful :)

The Elvis Tribute Show at iL Primo, 24 Dec 2010

It was my 3rd consecutive annual Elvis Tribute Show held once again on Christmas Eve. While Federal Hotel KL hosted my event for 2008 & 2009, in 2010, it was hosted by the new iL Primo restolounge, a new fine dining restaurant with Western, Italian & Japanese fusion delight.

The evening began with a starter 'meal' - my selection of memorable hits from yester-years featuring songs in Engish, Chinese & Malay, which blended well while the guests were dining.

After that session, I re-emerged as Elvis in the 60's gold suit, belting out the all time favourites like Hound Dog, Blue Suede Shoes and Wooden Heart. Soon, the atmosphere warmed up, gearing for the party mood.

During the next set, I put on my black jumpsuit and belted out more Elvis hits from the 60s & 70s.
It was indeed a night to remember, especially so for a lovely couple, Eric & Agnes. Eric proposed to Agnes, her girlfriend, and the crowd responded with a thunderous applause. I invited them for a slow dance as I dedicated 'Can't Help Falling In Love' to celebrate the occasion. It was a double celebration as it was also Agnes' birthday...

With 'Burning Love', I ended my performance but was soon ushered back to stage as the crowd wanted more. I did my encore segment with Jailhouse Rock, bringing down the house with the guests Rockin' N Rollin'.

The evening ended with the Christmas countdown, and then the crowd surprised me ... with a birthday song. I was moved to tears. Someone leaked the news that my birthday is on Christmas Day.

It was yet another satisfying performance for myself, as I truly enjoyed entertaining the guests by doing what I do best :)
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to everyone. Cheers!
